India Post Payments Bank Limited (IPPB), a fully government-owned entity under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, is driving the transformation of banking and financial awareness across India. With 650 branches nationwide, IPPB aims to leverage the vast network of the Department of Posts, which includes around 1,55,015 post offices and approximately 3 lakh postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), to offer banking services directly to customers’ doorsteps.
IPPB is looking to engage 344 Gramin Dak Sevaks from the Department of Posts to support direct sales and other related tasks across different bank locations. These GDS will be instrumental in lead generation, sales, and business development under the Business Correspondent model between the Department of Posts and IPPB.

AGE LIMIT
Applicants must be at least 20 years old and not older than 35 years.
PAY AND ALLOWANCES
a) The Bank will provide a fixed monthly compensation of ₹30,000/- to GDSs appointed as Executives at IPPB, which includes all statutory deductions and contributions as applicable.
b) Tax will be deducted in accordance with the Income Tax Act, subject to amendments.
c) Annual increments in the fixed compensation, along with performance-based incentives for business development and sales activities, will be determined by the Competent Authority.
d) It is further specified that no additional payments, such as allowances or bonuses, will be granted beyond what is stated above.”
TENURE OF ENGAGEMENT
a) The engagement period will be for one (1) year, with the possibility of annual extensions for up to an additional two years based on satisfactory performance, aligned with the Bank’s business needs and public service requirements. Candidates will not be considered for permanent absorption into IPPB.
b) Business performance will be evaluated every six months. If performance is deemed unsatisfactory in two consecutive evaluations, the engaged GDS may be returned to their original position after a one-month notice period.
c) There will be a mandatory two-year ‘cooling-off’ period following each temporary engagement term as an Executive at IPPB. Therefore, GDS who previously held roles such as Territory Officer, Business Associate, or Executive at IPPB can apply for this recruitment only if they are not currently in the mandatory ‘cooling-off’ period.
SELECTION PROCEDURE
a) The selection process will be based on the percentage of marks secured in graduation. However, the Bank reserves the right to conduct an online examination if needed.
b) If two candidates have the same graduation percentage in the merit list, preference will be given to the candidate with higher seniority in the Department of Posts (DoP). If seniority is also identical, the candidate born earlier will be selected.
c) Applicants must enter the exact percentage of marks obtained in their graduation, up to two decimal places, as stated in their degree certificate. Applications with discrepancies between the stated and actual marks will be rejected. If the degree uses a CGPA system, candidates must provide a valid conversion document from their University/Institute.
d) Candidates will be shortlisted for Document Verification based on the merit list for each circle.
e) During Document Verification, the following documents must be provided:
i. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current controlling officer.
ii. A statement detailing any Major/Minor penalties imposed over the past five (5) years, if applicable.
iii. Clearance Certificate for vigilance status issued by the Divisional Head.
iv. The engagement with IPPB will begin only after completing the necessary formalities for release from their parent organization.
f) Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee inclusion in the selection list.
g) The results for each stage of the recruitment process, as well as the final list of selected candidates, will be made available on the official website.

An application fee of ₹750/- is required and is non-refundable. Candidates must verify their eligibility prior to fee payment and online application. Once submitted, applications cannot be withdrawn, and the fee paid is non-refundable under any circumstances. It also cannot be transferred to any future selection process.
